GET IN TASTER EXPERIENCES
If you’re weighing up what’s the next right step for you – it could be an apprenticeship, maybe you’re thinking about university, or perhaps you want to dive straight into your first ‘proper job’, Get In Taster Experiences offer you the chance to see if the BBC could be where you’d like to work in the future by exploring the different early careers paths the BBC has to offer.
Our ‘Get In’ Taster Days are a great way to find out more about life at the BBC and the opportunities we have on offer. They’ll give you first-hand experience of your local BBC base and the kind of work you might be doing there if you apply for one of our apprenticeships. If you’re not sure that the BBC is the right place for you, let us try to change your mind! Especially if you’re not the sort of person that would usually apply for something like this.
At a ‘Get In’ Taster Day, you’ll have the chance to:
- Learn about the media industry and a professional workplace environment
- Find out about the wide range of job roles we have to offer
- Develop some hands-on skills
- Spend time in a BBC studio
- Have a closer look at our apprenticeship application process and get some tips for applying.
Shorter paid placements are available throughout the year, in teams such as BBC Sport, Radio 1 & 1Xtra, The Proms, World Service and BBC Creative.
Work placements offer on-the-job training and hands-on work experience. You will get to learn from experienced professionals, collaborate on exciting projects, and contribute to BBC content.
You will need to be 18+ to apply but these schemes do not require specific qualifications.
Set up your job alerts and follow @BBCGetIn to stay in the loop.
